Hello, my name is Gloria Ochoa and I have been at Sonshine since September 2005, when I moved to Colorado from California. I didn’t know where I was going to start a job and then I was blessed to have landed here with Cathy and the rest of the girls. I have a 5 ½ year old son, Nicholas. As a mother it’s very important to me that the kids feel at home here and since Nicholas’ first day he felt very comfortable. I thank you greatly for trusting your kids to us. It is very fulfilling to be with these children and the very serious conversation we carry on about bugs and insects. I love to be with them, and I am sure this is where the Lord wants me to be… not as a teacher, but as a student, for I believe children have so much more to teach us.

My name is Lola Hamby. I live here in Longmont with my wonderful husband Steve and my 3 children, Ashley (19), Tyler (12) and Nick (9). And I can’t forget my dog, Keesha. I enjoy spending time with my family and going to my boys’ sports activities. I worked at Sonshine from 1992-1996 and now this is my fourth year back. I know this is where God has placed me. I love working with kids. Thank you for sharing your children with us. I look forward to getting to know each one of them. We are going to have a great time in the Arctic Friends room!

Hello and a very warm “WELCOME” to our Sonshine Fams! I am so blessed to be a part of this wonderful team! God placed me here as the director (or as the kids would say “Principal”) at Sonshine for 17 great years now. I have had the privilege for over 23 years of teaching and working with children! God has placed such a passion in my heart for children and their families! On a little more personal note… I have three grown children… an amazing beautiful daughter who is Mrs. Corrie... (my partner in crime in the office), and her wonderful husband Leigh and a precious grandson Noah-3 months old. Two amazing sons Kevin Richman; the accountant who is married our sweet, beautiful Mrs. Crystle; (Pre-K teacher and office Assistant), and two more precious grandchildren...Nate-3yrs old and Hayden Jayne-18 months old. I can’t even express how much I love being a Grammy!!! Its just the best ever blessing! And last but certainly not least my youngest son, Colin who is a High School Biology teacher. He is recently married to a sweet, beautiful 1st grade teacher named Chelsea, and they only have a puppy for now. I just love and adore all my children and I an proud of them and blessed that God chose me tobe their "Mom"! I was a single mom for 12 years and was remarried almost 4 years ago to my incredible husband, Dave (a.k.a. prince). I received my Early Childhood degree when I was 32 years old and since then I have loved every moment of this passion that God has called me to. It is truly an honor to teach your children and I don’t take lightly the responsibility it is to be a Christ like example to all of you! May God pour out his favor and abundant blessings upon you!
