Going Outside: Please remember that we DO STILL go outside for fresh air, weather it’s for walks, games or to play on the playground. If your child does not have the appropriate attire (jackets, snow boots, gloves) they will be required to stay inside to read books in the office. This makes them sad =( because they LOVE to go outside especially when all their friends are going! So please remember to send your child to school prepared!
Prayer Please: The Sutton family could use your prayers, as they have lost their 3 year old little boy, Daniel, in a tragic accident. They are a family involved with LBCC and the Children’s ministry. Please pray for peace and comfort for this precious family! We are deeply saddened and heartbroken and prayers are the best we can do for them!
Note To Parents from the Teachers
Mark Your Calendars: Valentine’s Parties will be Thurs. Feb. 11th & Fri. Feb. 12th. Sonshine Closed: Monday, Feb. 15th for President’s Day. Sonshine Annual Year end program and Graduation will be Tues. May 18th @ 6:30. The last day of school will be Fri. May 21st, followed by our all school picnic!
Lil’ Angeles Portraits: Jeff will be here to do our annual “Dress up” portraits on Wed. Feb. 17th & Thurs. Feb. 18th! If you would like to have your child participate in these, but they do not attend either of those days, just let us know and we can swap a day or you can bring them in just for the pictures.
NEW PROCESS - Daily News on your Child: We are beinning a new system of sending home a daily report about your child. This will include their mood/disposition, things they did, who they played with, how long they napped, how they ate their lunch, any Take 5’s they had and any additional comments from the teacher that they were with. We hope this provides a better way to receive communication about your child’s day. Please let us know how you are feeling about this process! Thanks!
Parents… To comply with our State Licensing requirements, all Health Status Forms, Immunization records must be updated annually. If you have any doctor appointments please make sure your form is dated for this 2009-2010 school year. Thank you!
 Teacher Continuing Education… Our staff does stay current with “Early Childhood” continuing ed of 15 hours annually. Plus the required ECE courses to be Group Leader qualified. We are truly blessed with the staff here at Sonshine! Thank you sisters!
