Our Hearts Our History

We understand that all children learn at different levels and we not only appreciate that but do our best to cultivate that learning. Knowing and understanding the social/emotional, cognitive/creative, physical and language development is an important part of our ministry and we hope through each of these we are able to help your child succeed to the best of their ability. We trust that God provides us with the discernment to be able to understand each child individually and to truly go along side of them and be a helping had in life. There are so many different family dynamics and homes that each child comes from and our hope is to do our best to help them thrive no matter what circumstances are going on in their life. We take time out each week to pray as a staff for each of the children, parents and families.

Mrs. Cathy

Sonshine was first established in 1992 when LifeBridge Christian Church first moved to the current location on Hwy 66. As the school is approaching its 17th year, Cathy Stoecker, the Director is also approaching her 17th year here at Sonshine. Cathy has been the heart of this ministry for many years and Sonshine will continue to be blessed by he leadership in the future. Also, we pride ourselves on being a family business! The Assistant Director, Corrie Kraft, is Cathy’s daughter and has worked at Sonshine for 12 years. And Crystle Rickman, the Administrative Assistant and Lead teacher is Cathy’s daughter- in- law who has been employed here for 9 years. We have nearly half of our staff who has been a part of our team for anywhere from 4 – 16 years in employment. Our hope is that this longevity and family unity shows what an amazing program Sonshine really is.

Sonshine has an appointed board of directors consisting of an elder of LifeBridge. As well as two LifeBridge members who are educators. They are all very involved and through prayer and wise council, continue to support Sonshine. We are very thankful for them and all they do.
