Special Events

Back to School Night
A time for the children and parents to come to school to meet their teachers, classmates and to see their classrooms. This typically takes place at the end of August, the week before Labor day.

Thanksgiving Feast
Our all family Thanksgiving feast is a time for parents to join their kids in their classroom for a special feast of finger foods. There is sign ups to bring something and the children dress as either pilgrims or Indians! Parents are welcome to eat with us and the feast will take place the Friday before the week of Thanksgiving.

Happy Birthday Jesus Parties
Our Happy Birthday Jesus parties are basically a Christmas party focused on Jesus’ birth! On this day we have special crafts, worship time, snacks and fun! There will be announcements posted for the date.

Christmas Program
This is a Sonshine annual tradition! We have a special Christmas program in the LifeBridge sanctuary where all of the classes sing special songs, we show a special slideshow and have a cookie party afterward! We have a great time on this night. We love to see all of your family and friends attend. We typically have 500+ people there, so come early to get a good seat! We ask that each child brings a plate of cookies to share! This program usually takes place the second week of December on either a Tuesday or Thursday evening at 6:30pm.

Valentine Parties
Each of the classes have a valentine party filled with treats, valentine exchange and fun games! All parents are always welcome to join our class parties!

Pajama, Popcorn and Movie Day
During the time when our curriculum focus’ on the letter P, we have a fun day filled with jamies, slippers, a favorite stuffed animal, popcorn and a movie! The kids love this day… and so do the teachers! =)

Good Friday Palm Branch Parade
On good Friday we have a special bible story filled with a fun palm branch parade all throughout the church! The kids think this is such a cool thing!

Easter Egg Hunt
On good Friday, we also do an all school Easter egg hunt on the outside grounds of the church!

 

Pre-k Bike Days
For two days in May all the Pre-K kids bring their bikes to school and we cone off a section of the parking lot for a bike track! The kids love bringing their bikes to school and showing off their bike skills! They can bring big wheels, scooters, 2 wheelers, etc. They are required to wear a helmet to participate. And make sure to put sunscreen on them! We also have popsicles for snack outside!

End of the Year/Graduation Program
This is set up like our Christmas program. It is a night filled with all the classes singing songs, a slideshow, a graduation ceremony for the kids going to kindergarten and a cookie party! This is typically scheduled the Tuesday or Thursday of the last week of school.

All School Picnic
On the last day of the school year, all our families are welcome to join us for an all school picnic. This is a time for you to bring a pack lunch and have a playground picnic with your child and all the other parents and teachers! It’s a great way to end a terrific school year!

Water Play Day – Friday’s in June-August
During our Summer Adventure Program that runs from June through August, Friday’s we offer a fun water play day. The kids have a blast with a huge blow up slide, sprinklers, little pools, sand boxes and toys and water tables. Please make sure you come with lots of sunscreen, a change of clothes and a towel!

VBS
LifeBridge Christian Church puts on a fabulous Vacation Bible School during the summer. Our program is also involved in VBS. It is a week long of fun games, worship, Bible stories, crafts, drama, missions and ending with a performance on Friday night for all the families. We are very thankful to be a part of VBS.
